Conversational Portuguese I

Fala português? Our beginning level Portuguese course introduces students to the basic concepts of the language while focusing on Portuguese as a part of everyday life. Topics include common greetings, asking for and giving personal information, basic vocabulary for travelers, colors and numbers, and the fundamentals of pronunciation. Students will learn to hold a basic conversation after this course on the topics that were covered in class. This class meets for eight weeks for 90 minutes per class.

Conversational Portuguese II

This course is a continuation of Conversational Portuguese I or an entry level class for students who have previously studied Portuguese. In this course the basics of Portuguese grammar are introduced, but most emphasis is placed on listening comprehension and vocabulary building. Students gain greater confidence in using Portuguese in everyday situations.

Intermediate Portuguese I

Students who have already mastered the basics of Portuguese should enroll in the course designed for intermediate-level students.  Expand your vocabulary and conversational abilities while fine-tuning your pronunciation and sentence structure.  Continue to learn more about the cultures of Brazil and Portugal.

Intermediate Portuguese II

Our advanced intermediate class prepares students to rely on Portuguese as the sole means of communication.  The class focuses on building vocabulary and improving semantics as students practice everyday conversation with a native speaker.

Advanced Portuguese Conversation

Just looking to keep your Portuguese skills sharp? If you have studied Portuguese for sometime and already have a good grasp of grammar and a strong vocabulary, this class is for you. Students in our Advanced Conversation class improve their speaking and listening skills through an entirely conversation-based program with a native instructor, while discussing current events and culture in the Portuguese-speaking world.

Make the most of your next trip to Brazil or Portuguese! This fun four-week course gives you basic Portuguese phrase without the grammar. Intensive Weekend

Learn the Portuguese basics with a full day of instruction, including lunch. Our approach is conversational in nature, with grammar reinforced through continuous conversation and application.
