Conversational German I

Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Our beginning level German course introduces students to the basic concepts of the language while focusing on German as a part of everyday life. Topics include common greetings, asking for and giving personal information, basic vocabulary for travelers, colors and numbers, and the fundamentals of pronunciation. Students will learn to hold a basic conversation after this course on the topics that were covered in class. This class meets for eight weeks for 90 minutes per class.

Conversational German II

This course is a continuation of Conversational German I or an entry level class for students who have previously studied German. In this course the basics of German grammar are introduced, but most emphasis is placed on listening comprehension and vocabulary building. Students gain greater confidence in using German in everyday situations.

Intermediate German I

Advanced German Conversation

Just looking to keep your German skills sharp? If you have studied German for sometime and already have a good grasp of grammar and a strong vocabulary, this class is for you. Students in our Advanced Conversation classes improve their speaking and listening skills through an entirely conversation-based program with a native instructor, while discussing current events and culture in the German-speaking world.

Intensive Weekend

Learn the German basics with a full day of instruction, including lunch. Our approach is conversational in nature, with grammar reinforced through continuous conversation and application. Various multimedia sources are used to reinforce retention of vocabulary and grammar. The goal is to surround you in German to the greatest degree possible. This course is only offered on a demand basis.
