Children's Courses
Indy Foreign Language Academy is proud to offer language learning opportunities to students of all ages, including children. Studies have shown that children are able to learn a language more quickly and more easily than adults. Our classes help children develop language skills at an early age and create an important first step to future language learning.
Private lessons for children (individual or group) are available in a variety of languages including Spanish, French, English as a Second Language and German. Classes focus on conversation as well as reading and writing, and offer fun and exciting hands-on activities to complete the total language learning experience.
We also offer group classes in Spanish. Children ages 6-10 will enjoy our Spanish Explorers program, while children 3-5 and their parent or guardian can participate in our Spanish for the Family class. Spanish Explorers (ages 6-10) Our Spanish Explorers is an introductory level course in Spanish designed for children ages 6-10. Students learn basic everyday phrases and vocabulary to establish a basis for future learning. This course combines conversation, reading, and hands-on activities with multimedia teaching techniques such as music and video. Each session is 90 minutes long. Spanish for the Family (ages 3-5) Children ages 3-5 and their families will enjoy our Spanish for the Family course. Parents, grandparents or guardians join their children in our colorful classroom to learn Spanish words and phrases that they can use at home, too! Conversation, games and hands-on activities makes this a fun and educational session for the whole family. Each session is one hour in length. Dates for upcoming sessions are now available!
