American Sign Language Courses
You will find just the right program for you at the Indy Language Center. We offer programs for all children, teens, students, adults and business executives. Classes are offered at our offices, your home or business, as well as over the Internet. Whether you’re a visual or auditory learner, we can custom fit a program to your exact learning style.

American Sign Language I
In this entry-level to American Sign Language, you will learn the sign language alphabet, the basics of proper fingerspelling, and about 300 common signs to beginning immediately using the language in everyday communication with family, friends, new acquaintances or on the job. You will learn about deaf culture and the different types of sign language in this course.
American Sign Language II
This course is continuation of our ASL I course, or it may be used as a starting point if you have previously studied the language in the past and need a refresher. This class goes beyond the basics of ASL and you will learn an additional 300 signs to help you to express more complex ideas and thoughts.
American Sign Language III
This third level course if designed as a continuation to our ASL II course or for intermediate-level students. You will learn about the basics of ASL word order, spatial use, classifers and 300 new signs. You will find that you are able to communicate much more easily on a wide variety of topics without relying on fingerspelling as frequently. Additional courses will be posted this spring after you finish this level.
